Getting Started With MHP/OCAP

Many people are now approaching MHP and OCAP with little or no knowledge of the DTV industry. We hope that these tutorials will provide a basic introduction for those people who would like to start working with MHP but don't know where to begin.

These tutorials cover the basics of getting up and running with MHP or OCAP without introducing the APIs themselves - the other tutorials on this site which do that. If you're new to digital TV and want to learn more about DTV in general, we suggest that you take a look at our introduction to digital TV - some parts of this tutorial will offer far more information than you need, but it's a good place to start getting an overview.

If you want to know how to set up and use an MHP emulator, our tutorial on getting started with XleTView is a good place to start. If you want to learn more about building applications and testing your application in a real transport stream, take a look at the tutorial on getting started with application development.
